I first heard the rumor about a new iPhone on the morning news. Then I found out, it was all over the Internet. Then a colleague sent me an e-mail on the same thing. All of that was enough to get me excited, since my current cell phone service contract has finally run out. What started all this was when an AT&T CEO blurted out a statement at a meeting that circled the globe.

Retail checks for this year’s largest shopping weekend revealed that MacBooks were the clear winner among the electronics maker’s family of computers - which include the iMac, the Mac mini, and Mac Pro. “Based on our data, MacBooks were perceived to have generated greater interest (and purchases) than iMacs among consumers this past weekend, and we believe this will continue throughout the holiday season,” said ThinkEquity analyst, Darren Aftahi.

The update is an automatic download for the 8 million Xbox Live subscribers and it includes new features like the Family Control feature that limits how long a child can play with the console in a given day or week. Xbox 360’s new software will allow the purchase and download games through the Internet that were previously only available in retail outlets. The Xbox also will also support Apple’s venerable media players.

If AV software doesn’t recognise it as Trojan.Quimkids , then disabling QuickTime as an RTSP protocol handler and the QuickTime ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer will ensure that the exploit will not work. In Firefox, the QuickTime plug-ins can be disabled.
