Steve Jobs had originally announced that the iPhone and iPod Touch Software Development Kit (SDK) would be released in February 2008. Last week rumors pointed to a brief delay in the launch of the SDK. The SDK will allow developers to release their own software applications for both the iPod Touch and iPhone.

The comments made by COO Tim Cook at a Goldman Sachs investment conference in the US come as the mobile phone maker also announced that it was launching the handset in Ireland on 14 March.
Speaking at a Goldman Sachs investor’s conference in Las Vegas yesterday, Apple COO Tim Cook said that, “Apple is not married to the single, exclusive-carrier model.” Whoa. So is Apple’s exclusive contract with AT&T shorter than initial projections? And if so, when might other carriers be able to sell the iPhone? This is an intriguing turn of events.
The multi-touch trackpad for the Pro is smaller than the on the Air, but it allows for the same multi-touch gestures. The two higher end MacBook Pro models get treated to a new NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics and the top-end 17″ Pro has an option for LED backlighting. Pricing ranges from $1,999 to $2,799.
