These smart devices could ID themselves and transmit data over the long range like WiMax and 3G and the short range like WiFi. All of this would be automated. So your iPod could be plugged into your shirt. Your shoes could talk to your phone. Everything could talk to everything, making for a personal area network all around you. Pretty neat idea. Don t know if it would ever happen, but seems to have some potential real-world applications.

People really hate Apple. We see it on the blogs all the time. it actually makes sense since the other 90% of the world doesn t want to hear that they are worthless! SJ repeated the word BEST 12 times during the conference call. There is no doubt that Apple is the most successful Tech company out there they are the best! But they really need to change their attitude! This bad-boyfriend game is really beginning to backfire on them.
TuneUp Media is bringing its Windows-based iTunes plugin to the Mac, and MacNN users are invited to try the beta. TuneUp works within iTunes to find missing album art, clean-up mislabeled tracks and inconsistent metadata and more. TuneUP claims its plugin is the most popular iTunes add-on for Windows with more than 60-thousand downloads in the past three months.
But Wegener and others who enjoy listening to their iPod at high decibels may be jeopardizing their ears’ ability to properly function. According to a recent study conducted by European Union scientists, listening to your iPod for just an hour a day for five years straight at volumes over 89 decibels, or full iPod volume, will greatly increase the odds of hearing trouble, if not absolute loss.

The latest MacBook refresh sees Apple’s mainstream laptop get a complete design overhaul. Replacing the white or black plastic chassis is an aluminium body built from a single piece of metal. Gone is the mouse button, consumed by a large glass trackpad with multi-touch gesture support. The screen stays at 13.3 inches, but gets LED backlighting and a piece of glass that runs from edge to edge of the laptop.
