Some analysts are predicting Apple will report a strong quarter, despite the company’s low guidance during its third quarter earnings report. At the time, Apple projected its fourth quarter earnings at US$1 per share with $7.8 billion in sales. Since then the company has released new iPod models including a redesigned iPod nano and a thinner iPod touch.

Another iPod shuffle

James Greene Jr Dogs barking Beatles songs. Better than sex, money, cheeseburgers, farts, and skydiving combined. MUMBAI: Paramount Digital Entertainment has developed a new application for Apple’s iPhone and iPod, which teaches people how to play music like a Rock Star. The application is called School of Rock is available from Apple’s App Store. The School of Rock app is based on the 2003 Paramount Pictures’ theatrical release and tells the story of a struggling musician who takes a substitute teaching job, winds up teaching the kids music and helps them to form a band.

Two major retailers in Europe have told Gizmodo that they can t order any more Mac minis and to expect no more of it. While this could simply signal that Apple is clearing the channel to make room for a speed-bumped model Gizmodo s sources are telling them that the Mac Mini may be dead dead DEAD for real. The Mac mini was introduced in January 2005 as the most affordable Mac ever and was last updated in August 2007 (to Core 2 Duo), 441 days ago.

Apple on Tuesday will announce its quarterly results and according to the Wall Street Journal the market will be watching them for clues as to the overall health of consumer spending. A week after unveiling a new series of MacBook computers and still riding the success of the iPhone, Apple may be a bellwhether of where the CE market is heading. Apple’s stock, however, has dropped nearly 50 percent since the start of the year.

iPod touch 2nd Generation

This iPod touch also offers Nike+iPod support, a feature also found in the iPod Nano. Nike+iPod allows an iPod to receive data from a Nike+ sensor (sold separately), which is intended to be worn in a special compartment in a Nike+ running shoe. Previously, users had to attach an add-on receiver to an iPod Nano to use the running sensor, or use the Nike+SportBand. The integrated receiver makes using the Nike+ system simpler. Apple has confined the Nike+ system to flash-based iPods with displays.

24 hours with the new Apple MacBook

I even had a situation where we got a new MacBook Pro to replace a horribly faded display on an iMac G4. Did Migration Assistant to the MBP which ended up with the SAME display problem. Reinstalled systems on both of them and the problem went away. On. Both. Of. Them. To think we considered (for a brief moment) paying big money for a new display on the iMac.
