RUMOUR: Apple to launch networked HDTV As is always the way before any Apple announcement day, you can’t move for rumours at the moment. The latest one comes from founder of Mahalo, Jason Calcanis. He reckons that Apple is going to launch a networked HDTV, much like a normal TV with an AppleTV box, but without the need for the box. Apple already offers a 30″ display for the Mac, so it won’t require a drastically new manufacturing process.

This event has been rumored since just after Apple s last special event wherein the company introduced new iPods, but updated MacBooks and MacBook Pros have been on many Apple fans wishlists for quite a while longer.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 13 (UPI) — Apple’s iPhone 3G has set the pace for touch-screen mobile phones, but a slew of U.S. and foreign competitors are nipping at its heels, analysts say.
“Through its stores Apple provides consumers a hands-on way to experience its products, which are displayed in a variety of category-specific areas to encourage customers to test and play. In addition to showcasing and selling its own products, the stores also carry a variety of third-party accessories and software titles that are compatible with Apple products,” TWICE wrote.
Apple is to release details on its new range of laptops , it has emerged. The firm recently confirmed it was to host a press event on October 14th that will be located at at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California. Apple’s shares recently rose by around nine per cent because of the announcement and the anticipation aroused by new stock. Bank of America analyst Scott Craig commented: Given the recent sell-off in technology stocks, Apple’s stock offers a valuation entry point not seen in years.
