Since its launch, Apple has faced an array of problems. The company has experienced number of lawsuits from variety of companies and users. Once again, Apple has been sued by Klausner Technologies, a New York-based firm against the iPhone infringement on a voicemail patent owned by them. The lawsuit is also filed against AT T claiming damages of $360 million.
The Apple iPhone features a function that enables users to view who has called them as well as listen to each message that’s present in the inbox individually. Klausner mentions that the iPhone maker has violated its patent by giving owners the opportunity to selectively retrieve voice messages through their handset s inbox display. According to the patent filed, Klausner seems to cover any visual voicemail setup and future royalties from Apple and AT T.
In addition to the lawsuit against iPhone, Klausner also named Comcast Corp, Cablevision Systems Corp and eBay Inc s Skype in the court case as infringing its patent for visual voicemail.
