Dwayne Walker Tuesday, September 23, 2008 The Nano has added another generation to their family, Nano Chromatic. The newly designed Nano, dubbed Rockalicious’ was promoed last week and here is the full review. The Nano Chromatic has a new, sleek look that comes in 8 GB and 16 GB capacities with Musical Genius capabilities that analyse the track you are listening to and proposes other songs you may like. It would be like your own little virtual DJ.
They have improved the ease at which you can find your music. They have now added the ‘Cover Flow’ view that you might recognise from iTunes, this allows you to skip to the album of the artiste you want to listen to by choosing the album cover. It’s quick and easy, no hassle at all, especially if you’re at the gym. The ‘Rock and Roll’ is another new feature that was added to the latest edition of the Nano.
With the ‘Rock and Roll’ feature, when you tilt your Nano to the side you can now view the display in a widescreen mode. Now. when you are bored in the car just tilt your Nano and play games on it. Let’s say your are jogging and you cannot bother to use your finger, to circle and search for the song now you can just shake it and it changes to the tracks you want.
Some reviewers think that the shake is a useless waste of space as a feature on the Nano, they said that it would be much better to just put it on shuffle and let it play. Yes, it might be, but the shake saves time. The reviewer also posed the question what would happen if a child had it and started to shake it. In case you’re in a situation where you don’t want it to change just put the iPod on hold and it stays.
