The New Screen Reading, Non-Vertically Challenged iPod Nano Reviewed

Written by Kyle Buckley I was able to test the new iPod Nano for a few days and have posted a full review in our Reviews section of Nillabyte.com. Overall, I was very impress with the new iPod, but there is nothing revolutionary that justifies getting rid of your old iPod—wait until you need a new replacement. Most of the new features are indeed very cool, handy, and seductive, but they are not life changing.
The new Genius feature is fantastic and surprised me how well it created awesome playlists. The built-in accelerometer is very cool and the shake-to-shuffle feature is nice, but I really wonder how handy and used it will be. One feature of the new iPod Nano is targeted at a very under served segment of the market—consumers with special needs. In this case, the new Nano, in addition to targeting every consumer, is also targeting blind and visually impaired consumers.
With this move, Apple is filling a need that has been largely ignored in the market for years.
