Steve Jobs can create more lust-inspiring products than Hugh Hefner. Just in the fourth quarter of 2007, $24 billion (sales) Apple sold 2.2 million Mac computers, 10.2 million iPod MP3 players and 1.1 million iPhones to hot-handed consumers. Through its iTunes Web service, Apple is the third-largest music distributor in the U.S., ahead of Target and Amazon. Apple has zapped more than 3 billion songs and 100 million television shows to consumers via iTunes.

Thank goodness Jobs ignored those who chastised him for getting into retail. Today each of his 190 stores (known as “churches” to design freaks) delivered an average $6.6 million in revenue last quarter, up 18% from last year. Filled with eye candy and tactile temptations, the stores are great at converting former PC worshippers.
