Analyst firm Morgan Stanley forecast on Friday that the Mac currently on three percent of desktops could win its way to five percent of desktop sales this year. This was based on a survey of 400 iPod users that found that 19 percent expect to convert from PC to Macintosh. This conversion factor is double that previously expected by analysts, and over three times the six percent effect reported four months ago .

According to iSuppli: US consumers for the past few years have been demanding improved connectivity between their vehicles audio/video systems and their digital media players, particularly iPods. Automakers have responded to demand in a big way, with 39 percent of vehicle models in the United States in 2008 expected to offer iPod integration options.

I drew conclusion on many products before they hit the street, and I stand by my words even today. MacBook Air: poor sales. Yup. MacBook: poor material and flawed design. Yup. MacBook: high hard drive failure rate due to internal design. Yup. iMac: stupid glass without anti-glare coating. Yup, still bad. Any computer that requires 10.5 is just bad news.
