There are a lot of great things about Apple’s iPhone App Store, but this isn’t one of them - Apple’s habit of stomping on any third-party developer who they feel is getting in their way. Opera Mini has advantages over Safari, believe it or not: it’s faster for people who don’t want to zoom in and out constantly. But even if it doesn’t, what’s the harm in letting people make the choice? It’s not like Opera isn’t a well-known and reliable brand.

| Published: October 23, 2008 - 03:04PM CT With the Mac portable line having just been updated, it s time to speculate endlessly about one of Apple s other products. The likely candidate, especially after this week s rumors and speculation, is the Mac mini. With almost 450 days since the last update to the small-footprint, entry-level desktop, the masses want Apple to update the machine already or stick a fork in the tiny machine.
