When I saw Dan Deacon this summer, it seemed his setup had changed slightly since that fateful morning in Georgia. Although my memory of the evening is hazy at best ‘” in large part because an actual haze of sweat and cigarette smoke drifted menacingly over the dance floor ‘” I am reasonably certain that Dan has swapped at least some of his throwback sound equipment for a fleet of iPod Shuffles that he uses to trigger his various samples.

Once a user clicks on the rent button in the iTunes store, it will be available to watch within 30 seconds. It can be watched there and then (instant play) or the user can elect to watch the movie any time within 30 days, but once they ve started they have 24 hours to finish watching it. The user can stop watching and then decide to watch on another device, so they can start watching a film at home, then finish on their iPod on the way to work in the morning.

A 24-page class action complaint submitted this week in a Northern District of California court alleges that Apple is unfairly tying the iTunes Store and the iPod together by selling much of its music in the FairPlay AAC format. Customers who own the iPod must buy from iTunes if they want music in a protected format; in just the same measure, iTunes customers must buy an iPod if they want to listen to music on a portable player.

I don’t agree entirely. the Snasa is less expense and has an LED screen to navigate. It is cross platform and does not require software. The e230 with 512MB for $15 sounds just as good as my iPod Shuffle and Nano. I really think that the storage should increase and the price should decrease. For now, you can buy a 30GB brown 1G Zune for under $100 and the stock is not drying up yet.
