Each time one of the below 13 hands is hit, that player will be awarded a brand new iPod Touch. The hands will go in order until all the iPod Touches are given away. So J-J-J-J is the first hand someone needs to hit to win an iPod Touch. Once someone hits J-J-J-J, the competition will move to Q-Q-Q-Q as the winning hand needing to be hit.

The final analysis: Do you really need an excuse to buy an iPod? Probably not. Most of us already own Apple’s innovation or a competing device. The question is whether you can get the expense report or purchase order past your accounts payable department. How many of us will actually use an iPod for business purposes? If we occasionally use one to listen to a tech podcast or watch a corporate video, then we’ve more than justified the expense.

I d like to see the missing iPhone apps, especially a note-taking app. I d like to be able to read pdf files on it. What I d really like is a volume control wheel on the top of the touch. Replace the shiny back with an aluminum finish like the rest of the line.

iSuppli discovered that even on the outside, Apple Inc.’s iPod touch looks a lot like its iPhone, the media player sports a distinct design and unique advancements compared to the iPhone. Also, iSuppli said that the 8Gbyte version of the iPod touch carries a Bill of Materials (BoM) cost of $149.18 based on pricing in October. The 8Gbyte version of the iPod touch sells for $299.

Much like Nintendo’s Brain Age, the game that really popularized this genre (but did not found it, mind you), you always start the game by running through a quick test. You play through five randomly selected challenges to measure the way your head handles each category. You are sometimes hit with new games during the exam — maybe you haven’t seen the shape-counting Hocus Pocus game yet, but now you must go into blind. It’s tricky, but you get some instructions first.

A new teardown of the iPod touch shows that it is not as similar to the iPhone as one might think, according to the research firm iSuppli. While cosmetically and functionally identical to the iPhone in many regards, such as in its “springboard” touchscreen interface, the iPod touch shows internal evidence of using a different design with some advancements.
