Last year, Apple CEO Steve Jobs faced heated questions about the company’s stock options scandal, which appears largely forgotten a year later. But not completely. The AFL-CIO Reserve Fund has submitted a shareholder proposal asking that shareholders have the opportunity to ratify the compensation of Apple’s executive officers. Such a vote would be non-binding, the group said, but it would give shareholders an opportunity to express how they feel.

Records are nothing new for the Apple Valley wrestling team. The Eagles began the state tournament already holding state standards for dual-meet state titles (15), appearances in team championship matches (21) and consecutive trips to state (27). The record book got a little thicker Saturday, however, as five Eagles won individual state championships. That tied the mark set by Forest Lake in 1993 and set a record for all-time state champs by one team.
While looking for ways of speeding up the performance of the upcoming Firefox 3 browser, developer Vladimir Vukicevic said this week that he came across dozens of secret tweaks built into WebKit - the software at the core of Apple’s own Safari browser.
