The new industry moved to Los Angeles because that’s where the sunshine was. Today, most of the conglomerates that own film companies still are headquartered in the city. Shop assistants in New York prefer GWYNETH PALTROW’s daughter APPLE to her father CHRIS MARTIN - deeming her much more polite . The Coldplay rocker has been criticised for behaving rudely to store clerks on a recent shopping trip in New York while his three-year-old daughter was praised for her friendly attitude. The pair were browsing in the Ink Pad boutique when the tot began talking animatedly to those around her.

Apple has released Security Update 2007-009 for both Mac OS X Leopard and Tiger ( Intel , PowerPC ). The company recommends the update for all users. Among the included security enhancements are the closures of several bugs where visiting a maliciously crafted website may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. For instance, a Tiger-specific format string vulnerability exists in Address Book’s URL handler.

Steve Jobs can create more lust-inspiring products than Hugh Hefner. Just in the fourth quarter of 2007, $24 billion (sales) Apple sold 2.2 million Mac computers, 10.2 million iPod MP3 players and 1.1 million iPhones to hot-handed consumers. Through its iTunes Web service, Apple is the third-largest music distributor in the U.S., ahead of Target and Amazon. Apple has zapped more than 3 billion songs and 100 million television shows to consumers via iTunes.

Apple makes fine laptops. Apple also rates very high in the surveys I’ve seen as far as tech support and product support. There’s also this benefit: Most virus writers target Windows machines. While an Apple isn’t immune to viruses, it’s much less likely to get one. Also, Apples are trendier and more stylish - you’re more likely to get admiring comments in the airport security line if you slide an Apple machine on the conveyor belt.
