The video game icon is available now for purchase at the iTunes Store for $4.99. And if you already have it for the Virtual Console or XBLA, then you can go ahead and give the game as a gift. You’ll be able to use the traditional game soundtrack, or a playlist of your own choosing. I’d like to play a little Sonic while Lilac Wine plays in the background, that could be interesting. But the general recommendation would be to keep the standard soundtrack.

Sadly there is a valid reason for the return window. It s not unlike many major computer manufacturers, and the reason for it is the few scumbags that purchase a computer for a one time use, like a term paper or dissertation, and pack it up after the work is done, for a refund. Kind of a cheap, free rental plan. This went on long enough to cause the manufacturers to take action, IE the return restocking fee.
Apple, maker of the Macintosh computer, the iPod digital music player and the iPhone smartphone, started selling Leopard on Oct. 25, after a four-month delay due to the company’s work on the iPhone.
Granted, these are just job postings. I do, however, think that the multi-touch engineering positions, combined with other Apple rumors , at least point towards more multi-touch products. Given the timing, I m not sure we ll see a multi-touch Mac at Macworld per se, but it could appear a few more months down the line. And hey, if you interview for any of these, we d love to hear exactly what the job description is…
“Apple doesn’t talk about future product releases. They just don’t. I’ve found them to be one of the most secretive computer vendors,” Deal said. “In my years of covering various computer vendors, some will allow analysts and press to sign a nondisclosure agreement and will demonstrate some new products ahead of time.
We’ve recently counted more than 3,500 downloadable Widgets on Apple’s site –www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/categories.html — and had a go at a select few. Browsing them is half the fun, and because download files are fairly small, one can waste the better part of an afternoon installing and uninstalling a bunch of them. All the widgets listed below are free, except where noted. Be aware that widgets you keep will eat up some space on your system.

Do More Vulnerabilities Mean Mac OS X is Less Secure?

I used vulnerability statistics from an impartial third party vendor, Secunia, and I broke them down by Windows XP flaws, Vista flaws, and Mac OS X flaws. Since Secunia doesn’t offer individual numbers for Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.4, I merged the XP and Vista vulnerabilities so that we can compare Vista + XP flaws to Mac OS X So this shows that Apple had more than 5 times the number of flaws per month than Windows XP and Vista in 2007, and most of these flaws are serious.
