Also, the company has quietly released AirPort Extreme Update 2008-004 (2.2MB) without a Software Update link. The patch requires Mac OS X 10.5.5 or later for Intel-based Macs and addresses connection problems when roaming across large Wi-Fi networks.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but Apple’s patent doesn’t include implementation. “The embeddable modules would be smart enough to ID themselves and enable both short-range (i.e. home network-style) and long-range.” How? There’s no suggestion on how this will be accomplished, practical or impractical. This is one step above a wake and bake brainstorm between two hippies.

People really hate Apple. We see it on the blogs all the time. it actually makes sense since the other 90% of the world doesn t want to hear that they are worthless! SJ repeated the word BEST 12 times during the conference call. There is no doubt that Apple is the most successful Tech company out there they are the best! But they really need to change their attitude! This bad-boyfriend game is really beginning to backfire on them.

TuneUp Media is bringing its Windows-based iTunes plugin to the Mac, and MacNN users are invited to try the beta. TuneUp works within iTunes to find missing album art, clean-up mislabeled tracks and inconsistent metadata and more. TuneUP claims its plugin is the most popular iTunes add-on for Windows with more than 60-thousand downloads in the past three months.

Beleive it or not, the pure purpose for NDA is because they didn’t want google to rip-off iphone’s SDK. Android has already copies too much from Apple’s innovation in iphone, search the first android video released one year ago and compare to today’s G1, you will see. And also their android marketplace.

Intel’s Senior Vice President Anand Chandrasekher has retracted comments from elsewhere in the company that Apple’s ARM processor is not fit for purpose. There was widespread mirth when comments emerged from Intel’s developer conference in Taipei that suggested Apple made a mistake by not going with Intel’s products. But Chandrasekher has moved to stop the argument before it even gets started, by insisting on the company’s Chip Shots blog that the statements from Taiwan were ‘inappropriate’.

Retailers It was a tough week for the retail sector after a series of disappointing results statements. Electrical retailer DSG International , which owns Currys and PC World , revealed a 7% fall in sales blaming cash-conscious shoppers for holding on to their old TVs and stereos rather than splashing out on a new ones.

There are two versions of the new MacBook Pro available. The first costs ВЈ1399 and comes with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 3MB of L2 cache, 2GB of 1066MHz DDR 3 memory and a 250GB hard disk. We tested the second model, which costs ВЈ1749 and packs in a 2.53GHz processor, 6MB of L2 cache, 4GB of 1066MHz DDR 3 memory and a 320GB hard disk. Both HDDs are 5400rpm SATA units.
